The Great Warsaw Horserace is one of the most significant horse racings for horses aged three years at the distance of 2600 meters.Founded in 1895 by Count August Potocki- the president of the Society of Horserace at time- it still attracts crowds of players and mere visitors to the Sieniec Horse Racing Track. In the past, the high value of the reward inspired the imagination of both citizens of Warsaw and the representatives of social elites. Some lost all they earned in their entire life by buying a ticket for a certain winner, while other won giant fortunes while betting on horses supposed to be losers. After the transformation of 1989, when Poles were granted new ways of entertainment, the status of the Great Warsaw Horserace is decreasing successively. Nevertheless, it is still both sport and social event. The winner of the 107th Great Warsaw Horserace was Horse named Hipoliner with Anton Turgaeve as a jockey. Warsaw, 27th September 2009
